Making Changes

We have exciting news!

With much prayer for guidance and courage, Shepherd Heart has discerned that now is the time to re-structure into a not-for-profit entity. Some of you may be surprised to learn that Shepherd Heart hasn’t always been a non-profit, because from its start, it has been steadfast in its ministry to work interdenominationally in caring for clergy and congregations, three-fold: 1) offering pastoral care to leaders with one-on-one sessions and retreats; 2) supporting churches with ministry consultation sessions through difficult circumstances or seasons; and 3) and providing continued education on emotional wholeness and congregational health.

What this means for us, right now, is that we are praying and discerning as our executive director is accepting applications for our Board of Directors. Do you feel that you share Shepherd Heart’s vision and mission, and have great executive functioning such as organizational skills and an orientation to details? Maybe God is calling you to be Shepherd Heart’s Secretary Head. Perhaps you’re a person known for your integrity, trustworthiness, forthrightness, and compassion to help keep Shepherd Heart sustainable and accountable to its financial future? Perhaps this is the time that God is asking you to become our Treasurer!

Others of you have felt specifically called to help fund this organizational transition. We are hoping to raise another $2,700 in funds to bring on tax experts as we make this pivot. We gratefully accept such gifts here.

Please become a part of our prayer circle as we live into ecumenically supporting clergy and churches across the entire Body of Christ.
