I am profoundly saddened to share the news that our beloved David Augsburger died on Monday evening, surrounded by loved ones. David was not only our ministry consultant, he was a good friend, dynamic teacher, prayer partner, honest critic, encourager, mentor, storyteller, and baker of birthday cakes.
David, I already miss your generous love and wisdom, your resounding laughter, your unique eye and ear for beauty, your keen exegesis, your poetic wit, and your one-of-a-kind baritone in four-part harmonies. Together, we celebrate that you are secure in the loving arms of Jesus, and we lift up our voices in thanksgiving for the gift of time we got to share with you here.
